Busy Time!

What a busy, busy couple of months! My mom came out to visit and to look at houses for her and instead Joe and I ended up deciding to put our house on the market and buy a new house ourselves! Right before we put the house on the market, I had to have an unexpected surgery to remove my appendix. Luckily our cousins Edie and Emmet were available to drive down and help us move a bunch of stuff to storage so we could put the house on the market.

Then, after discovering some cysts on my ovaries, the surgeon suggested that I go see my gyn. So I did. Joe and I have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year with no success. So, I've been working with my gyn to help us along. He referred us to a fertility specialist after no luck with his help. So, a couple of weeks after my appendectomy, I was at the right time in my cycle when I went to fertility doctor that allowed them to try our first IUI cycle. Unfortunately, it was not successful.

So, in addition to packing, moving, selling, we are also actively trying to get pregnant with a little help from the specialists. After that first try, they tested me to see if I was immune to the chicken pox since I had never had them as a child. So, I ended up having to get vaccinated which pushed our next IUI cycle back a few months. Hopefully the 2nd try will be successful and we will become pregnant! Fingers crossed!!
