Oliver smiles a lot more now and he "talks" quite a bit. He is so laid back (most of the time). Abby smiles and giggles SO MUCH, it is so cute! She is not so laid back! LOL She doesn't "talk" as much, but she coos and makes noises. I would consider what Oliver does more of "talking" than what Abby does...but they are just too cute for words! They are sleeping much longer at night, which is good for me! We started adding just a little bit of rice cereal to their nighttime bottle, so I think that is helping them sleep longer at night. I can't wait for them to sleep all the way through the night!
We bought them an activity mat, and I tell you, it was money well spent! It can keep them occupied for a good 30 minutes sometimes...or even longer on rare occasions. Oliver even falls asleep on it sometimes.
They have improved with their neck control and can sit up on the chair or sofa pretty much unassisted...they look like such a "big" boy and girl doing that! :(
For Labor Day weekend we all went up to my cousin's house in Burnet. They live on the Colorado River which feeds into Lake LBJ and Inks Lake. It's beautiful up there and I LOVE it! They have their house on the market and I will be sad when it sells! Anyway, as usual, we had a great time! My mom even took over one night so Joe and I could get a full night's sleep without having to worry about getting up with the babies! It was wonderful! And with 3 babysitters in the house, we were able to go down to the water and just relax and play with the dogs. On our last day, we finally were able to get out on the boat...so the babies had their first boat ride! We ended up having to go with a neighbor, so Buster was disappointed that he wasn't able to go :( They even had infant life jackets they loaned to us for the babies....I thought they looked SO adorable in them! LOL The babies ended up sleeping through the whole boat ride....but we enjoyed it!
We had quite an experience taking our first professional pictures to mark their 3 month birthdays...Abby was on the verge of a total meltdown almost the whole time! But, we got some really nice photos out of it all, so it was worth it!
