Almost 6 Months!

I can't believe how time has flown by....in just a matter of a little over a week, my little tiny babies will be 6 months old! They aren't so tiny anymore :(

Between all the rolling over and babbling....Oliver and Abby still amaze me. We get so excited when they reach new milestones. Even though they can roll over both ways...they like to pretend they can't. They will both roll over onto their tummies and then fuss when they get tired of it, especially in their cribs! Getting lazy already! LOL

We had "lots" of family come to visit in the first part of November! They got to finally meet their Auntie Carol, and cousins Gerry, Jeanette, Valerie and Edie (whom they already know). They all came to help my mom move into her new house. It was lots of fun and they got lots of attention!

Can't forget about our first Thanksgiving as a family of FOUR! :) We spent the holiday with Joe's side of the family and had a wonderful afternoon. My mom also joined us...her first Thanksgiving with the Church/Shock gang!

We have moved on to "solid" foods for the nighttime feedings. We feed them a good portion of their bottle, then the food and then let them finish off with the bottle. We started off with adding rice cereal to their bottles and moved on to cereal and formula in a bowl. The first "real" food was butternut squash, which they both loved. Next was peas and they both HATED them! Just like their mommy! We are currently on carrots now. The first night, they both tolerated them...the second night was a different story. Oliver seems to like them, but Abby wanted NOTHING to do with them! She screamed and turned her head and spit out whatever I could get in her mouth. I tried mixing it with rice cereal and formula and still...hated it! We'll try again with the not so popular foods in a few weeks to see if their tastes have changed.

We are heading to California for their first Christmas! They will get to meet their Great Grandpa...he will be SO excited! Not to mention flying for the first time! Should be an interesting trip!

P.S. I tried uploading a video, but it wasn't working for some reason. I'm not sure if it was too long, or what the problem was. I will keep working on it...
